The Best Musical. Ever.

As a Broadway Across America season subscriber, I was totally psyched to see that A Chorus Line was coming to Houston in January. I will be attending tonights show. If you like theatre, I highly recommend getting a season membership. There are typically 4-5 shows during the year, it's much cheaper than buying tickets to individual shows as they become known, and you get first dibs on special shows that are coming to town and the opportunity to purchase the tickets before the general public (as I did for Wicked).

I've seen A Chorus Line before, but it's one of those classic musicals that is a must see. See the description below:

Description

In an empty theatre, on a bare stage, casting for a new Broadway musical is almost complete. For 17 dancers, this audition is the chance of a lifetime. It's what they've worked for - with every drop of sweat, every hour of training, every day of their lives. It's the one opportunity to do what they've always dreamed -- to have the chance to dance. This is A Chorus Line, the musical for everyone who’s ever had a dream and put it all on the line. Winner of nine Tony Awards, including “Best Musical” and the Pulitzer Prize for drama, this singular sensation is the longest-running American Broadway musical ever. Now A Chorus Line returns. Come meet the new generation of Broadway’s best. “A Chorus Line is back, and it’s thrilling!” - John Lahr, The New Yorker.

Schwartz Blawgin's Rating: ***** (5 of 5 stars)
Why? Because I'm an official Broadway junkie and it takes a lot for me to give any Broadway show anything less than 5 stars.

P.S. - other shows coming with Broadway Across America include Wicked, Young Frankenstein and In the Heights; all critically acclaimed shows that I already have tickets for :)

P.P.S. - think you won't know any of the songs? I think you're wrong...
