Houston vs Las Vegas

I'm not sure if many of you take the time to look around you and see what's going on when you're walking around downtown. There are a bunch of restaurants, delis, shops, the Houston Pavillions has the House of Blues, bowling, piano bar, bars etc. They really are trying to develop the downtown area and turn it into an urban atmosphere, similar to a muted NYC (sans subways, but not sans bums).

One of my favorite things about downtown is the Main Street Square. This is the area on Main Street (duh) by Macy's. This is also where the Metro train, or whatever the heck they call it, runs.

I'd like to think of this as Houston's own little Bellagio water show! Pictures on my camera phone can't quite capture, so you'll just have to see for yourself!

Main Street Square
