So, day 1. Up bright and early at 6:30am to catch our 7am Paddy wagon bus that will take us pretty much clear across the country to the Cliffs, with a few stops on the way. Good thing this country is not very wide. Along our route we make a few stops, and arrive at the Cliffs of Moher around 1pm. It was a drizzly, freezing day (just another day in Ireland) so we made the walk up to the Cliffs. When we arrived at the top, the wind was awful! It was seriously hurricane type winds. There were people huddled together on the wall that couldn't get up and move because the wind was so strong; they had to be rescued! We even saw one persons pants fall down and money fly out of them from the wind!

Trying not to blow away
We got back on the bus to return back to Dublin and the bus started shaking back and forth. Terrified the bejesus out of me! But, we arrived safely back in Dublin around 7:30pm, and asked our driver for a recommendation for a true Irish pub. He suggested a place called The Celt without hesitation, said it was true local Irish people, so we went immediately there. Boy, was he right. There was live music, and a guy even went up and sang a Garth Brooks song! Small world. Near the end of the night, a batch of guys came in following the conclusion of a football match. Apparently it was a big rivalry so the teams were really excited. They stomped, pounded beers and sang songs back and forth to each other. It was awesome.
Celebrating after the match. The blond kid is 16.
Singing old Irish songs back and forth to each other
The DJ is the guy in the skull t-shirt's son. We met him at the first bar and he invited us to join them at this club. When we got there, the bouncer said they were full and we couldn't get in, so the guy says "But these are his American cousins visiting" so they let us in ASAP.
Introducing Irish to the camera stick! The girl on the right is amazed.
This night definitely goes down as one of our favorites of the trip. The Irish lived up to their uber friendly stereotype and we really loved the bar, The Celt. We went back on our last night too, and met more drunk Irish men (who would have thought?)

So glad that you guys liked the hotel! Looks like you guys had a great time on your trip. Love reading blog so keep the posts comming.
